THE DEPARTMENT OF PHYSIOLOGY AND PATHOPHYSIOLOGY CONTINUES TO ACTIVELY COOPERATE WITH SCHOOLCHILDREN

On April 23, the Department of Physiology and Pathophysiology with the course of medical biology welcomed pupils of the 8th, 10th and 11th grades of the Municipal Institution of Sumy Specialized School №25.

This time, Associate Professor Antonina Biesiedina introduced the history and scientific potential of the department, and prepared a lecture and practical work on interesting parasitology for the students.

The participants received information about the huge scientific and educational potential of the NN MI and the department; about the achievements of the department’s teaching staff; about the international and grant activities of the university; about the eventful student education and leisure.

The students had the opportunity to get introduced to the most dangerous and common parasites in our area; they saw what these parasites look like, how they adapt to their environment; learned a lot of interesting things about these dangerous and useful creatures.

The pupils liked it and asked a lot of questions to the lecturer, who gave useful advice on the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of helminth infections.

The students were invited to study at the School of Medicine.
