Daria Neicheva – Prizewinner Of The Student Scientific Paper Competition

On April 15, 2026, the official results of the All-Ukrainian Competition of Student Scientific Papers in Fields of Knowledge and Specialties at Sumy State University for the 2025/2026 academic year were announced. Based on a thorough analysis of the submitted reviews and the evaluation of the participants’ scientific presentations, the branch competition committee in the specialties of “Theoretical Medicine, Biology” determined the winner of the Competition.

First place was awarded to second-year student Daria Neicheva, a student of group MC.m-406. Her scientific paper, entitled “Analysis of the Association of rs7975232 and rs1544410 Polymorphisms of the VDR Gene with the Development of Physical Qualities in Ukrainian Track and Field Athletes,” received high recognition from the professional jury. The research was supervised by Associate Professor Antonina Biesiedina, whose professionalism, experience, and scientific and methodological support became an important factor in the successful implementation of the study.

The presented research is highly relevant in the context of the modern development of theoretical medicine, molecular biology, and sports genetics, as it is devoted to the study of the genetic determinants of physical performance and athletic abilities. The obtained results have not only theoretical significance but also potential practical value for sports medicine, personalized approaches to the training process, and the prediction of athletic achievements.
