From May 6 to 11, Professor Viktoriia Harbuzova of the Department of Physiology and Pathophysiology served as a speaker in the professional development program for academic staff titled “Psychological Resilience and Prevention of Mental Disorders in Crisis Conditions.” The program was aimed at implementing one of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals — “Good Health and Well-Being,” promoting knowledge about human health, the functioning of the human body, disease prevention, and the maintenance of mental well-being.
As part of the program, Professor Harbuzova delivered presentations on the topics “Features of Supporting Human Mental Health” and “Stress Management: Theoretical Foundations and Practical Recommendations.” The presentations addressed current issues related to maintaining mental health in the face of modern challenges, examined the main causes of stress and its impact on emotional well-being, and highlighted practical approaches to preventing emotional burnout. Special attention was devoted to developing stress resilience skills and maintaining psychological balance in both professional and everyday life.
Participants of the event received useful recommendations on the application of self-regulation techniques, effective communication strategies, and maintaining a healthy lifestyle as important components of mental well-being. The knowledge and practical guidance gained during the program can be applied both in professional activities and in everyday life.
