The development of the modern national education system is a significant progress in the education and upbringing of students in higher education institutions, so from 22 to 26 April 2024, the department held the defence of individual creative projects in physiology by 2nd year students of the Educational and Research Medical Institute.
Among the forms of individual work carried out at our department are conferences, competitions, participation in the laboratory and participation in the work of the student scientific club, and the defence of creative projects. For future doctors, this form of work becomes a school of worldview, and individual work helps to consolidate and develop skills, abilities, and the ability to work for the future, creating positive conditions for the development of each student’s abilities. As a result of the project, students improve their competencies in:
– independent work with scientific and methodological literature and scientific information;
– systematisation and generalisation of knowledge gained as a result of training; – practical mastery of technologies and strategies;
– development of practical recommendations.
Each student had the opportunity to present his or her research topic and answer questions from teachers and colleagues. During the defence of the projects, they demonstrated an impressive level of theoretical thinking and the ability to use online tools in the preparation of projects.
The teachers were pleasantly surprised by the interesting multimedia presentations, which used modern methods, audio and video materials, and demonstrated an appropriate level of theoretical knowledge. The projects were different not only because of their scientific novelty, but also because of their practical orientation, which provoked a lively discussion and interesting questions, to which the students gave reasoned and meaningful answers, demonstrating a high level of preparation.
