On March 11-15, 2024, for the second year in a row, a series of popular science events dedicated to the WORLD BRAIN WEEK took place in the library of the NN MI SumDU. The events were held on the initiative and with the support of Viktoriia HARBUZOVA, Professor of the Department of Physiology and Pathophysiology with a course in Medical Biology.
The main goal of this initiative is to expand knowledge about the achievements and discoveries in the field of brain research, as research in this area is a hope for the treatment and prevention of diseases and disorders of many body systems and ensuring a better quality of life at any age.
Brain Week began with events for students of Sumy Secondary School No. 27
The 2nd year student of the Institute of NN MI Elizaveta PASTUSHKOVA told the pupils about the features of the human brain and held a quiz ” BRAIN LABYRINTHS”.
The library staff organised a quest “INTERESTING MEDICINE” for future applicants.
Finally, our guests visited the anatomical museum and enjoyed some goodies.
The most active participants received prizes.
