Academic mobility is an important area of work. Recently, Sumy State University has been introducing new forms of mobility, including virtual mobility.
Recently, the teachers of the department have undergone advanced training on a new programme of the Centre for Human Resources Development and the Department of International Cooperation of Sumy State University: ‘Virtual Academic Mobility Using Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) Technology: From Idea to Implementation’.
The coaches talked about the content and structure of COIL, helped us understand the basic procedures for developing a project, taught us how to use digital tools to implement the course, etc. Our teachers also received valuable advice on how to find potential partners.
The speakers shared their experience and noted that COIL is associated with positive mental health of students. In addition, COIL is a useful and effective learning technique that helps people develop insight and use different perspectives when making decisions.
