On May 14, the Department of Physiology and Pathophysiology with a course in Medical Biology, with the support of the Adaptation and Career Guidance Sector of the student self-government headed by Bohdan Okhrimenko (student of group MC.m-301), organized the intellectual game “BRAIN RING–2026.” The event brought together 44 students of the Educational and Scientific Medical Institute majoring in Medicine and 18 students of the Sumy Professional Medical College. The event corresponded to one of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals — “Good Health and Well-Being,” promoting knowledge about human health, the functioning of the human body, disease prevention, and mental well-being.
Five teams participated in the competition: two teams of second-year students — “Excitation Threshold: 0” and “Vincere”; two teams of first-year students — “The Sucklings” and “Google Doctors”; and one team representing the Sumy Professional Medical College — “Astra Mentis.”
The game was supervised by a distinguished jury chaired by Professor Viktoriia Harbuzova, Head of the Department of Physiology and Pathophysiology with a course in Medical Biology of the Educational and Scientific Medical Institute of SumDU. The jury members included Iryna Bilokon, a senior lecturer of the Sumy Professional Medical College, Associate Professor Antonina Biesiedina, and Assistant Zoya Levchenko. The scoring committee consisted of Associate Professor Tetiana Oleshko, senior staff member Tetiana Kryvonos, and second-year student Daria Neicheva.
