On March 26, 2025, the Department of Physiology and Pathophysiology with the Course of Medical Biology, with the support of the Adaptation and Career Guidance Sector of the Student Directorate of the Educational and Scientific Medical Institute, organized an intellectual game – the Biological Brain-Ring.
This year, teams from other educational institutions also participated in the event, including students from the Sumy Professional Medical College and Sumy Lyceum No. 33. A total of 30 participants competed for victory, forming five teams: “Autosomal-Dominant” (1st-year students of the “Medicine” program at the ESMI), “EndoGuru” (2nd-year students of the “Dentistry” program at the ESMI), “Paramedic Colleagues” (1st-year students of the “Emergency Medicine” program at the ESMI), “Number 2” (10th–11th grade students from Sumy Lyceum No. 33), and “Magura” (2nd-year students from Sumy Professional Medical College).
The competition was overseen by a competent jury, chaired by Viktoriia HARBUZOVA, Head of the Department of Physiology and Pathophysiology with the Course of Medical Biology at the ESMI of Sumy State University. The jury members included Iryna BILOKON, a top-category teacher at Sumy Professional Medical College, as well as Antonina BIESIEDINA (Associate Professor), Zoya LEVCHENKO (Assistant), and Tetyana OLESHKO (Assistant) from the Department of Physiology and Pathophysiology with the Course of Medical Biology at the ESMI. The score count was managed by the counting commission, consisting of Olha OBUKHOVA (Associate Professor) and Kateryna ZAVGORODNIA, a 2nd-year student.
