Тhe Physiological Scientific Club was held, dedicated to a topical issue — “Endocrinology: Current Challenges and Discoveries”

At the Department of Physiology and Pathophysiology with a Course in Medical Biology, a regular meeting of the Physiological Scientific Club was held, dedicated to a topical issue — “Endocrinology: Current Challenges and Discoveries”

During the meeting, club members had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with modern scientific approaches to the study of the endocrine system, discuss the latest data on hormonal regulation, genetic mechanisms underlying the development of endocrine diseases, and the role of the immune system in their pathogenesis.

The following presentations were delivered during the session:

“Hormone Biohacking: How to Manage One’s Own Physiology,” which examined the impact of lifestyle, nutrition, and daily routine on the body’s hormonal balance (Yuliia Zuienko, MC-203);

“Hormonal Chronobiology: The Impact of Circadian Rhythms on Metabolism and Treatment,” a presentation focused on the significance of biological rhythms in the regulation of metabolic processes and the selection of therapy (Taisiia Kharchenko, MC-306);

“Genetics of Endocrine Diseases: The Role of SNPs and Epigenetic Changes in Clinical Practice,” which emphasized personalized approaches to diagnosis and prognosis of endocrine disorders (Polina Kindenko, SM-401);

“Hashimoto’s Autoimmune Thyroiditis: Modern Concepts of Pathogenesis and the Role of T-Cell Subpopulations,” highlighting current immunological mechanisms involved in the development of the disease (Kateryna Klymenko, SM-401).

The meeting was conducted in an atmosphere of active discussion. Participants had the opportunity to ask questions, share their own insights, and discuss prospects for further research in the field of endocrinology. Such meetings contribute to the development of students’ scientific thinking and deepen their interest in contemporary medical and biological issues.
