On October 29, 2025, the second meeting of the Student Scientific Club “Mental Health Club” was held on the topic “Self-regulation, Stress, Adaptation: How to Activate Your Own Resources.” The head of the club is Prof. Viktoriia Harbuzova.
During the event, three student presentations were delivered:
- Presentation by Lyubomyr Berh, a second-year student of group Мц.-405, “The Mechanism of Self-Regulation in the Human Body.”
- Presentation by Iryna Kusovnyk, a third-year student of group Мц.-305, “The Nature of Stress: From Biological Mechanisms to Psychological Consequences.”It was interesting to learn about the physiological aspects of stress, Hans Selye’s theory, the stages of stress development, the role of hormones in regulating stressful situations, as well as the psychological consequences of stress.
- Presentation by Diana Lapikova, a third-year student of group Мц.-304, “Adaptation as a Process.”The presenter introduced the audience to the concept of Hans Selye’s adaptive syndrome (general adaptation syndrome) and the cognitive-behavioral approach.
