The Department of Physiology and Pathophysiology continues its work with talented young people, aiming to develop clinical thinking and foster a love for science. The meeting of the student scientific group took place on November 7th in an online format.
The topic of the event, “The Impact of Stress on the Human Body. Developing Stress Resilience,” is relevant worldwide, especially for Ukrainians, as all of them experience the effects of stress to varying degrees.
The presentations were prepared by second- and third-year students. The meeting was opened by Andriy Kidymenko, a student who presented on “The Impact of Stress on the Human Body.” He covered the physiological and pathophysiological mechanisms of stress effects at the cellular and tissue levels, on organ systems, and on the human body as a whole.
The meeting continued with a presentation by Anna Kobyletska on “The Role of Sports in Stress Management.” The audience was interested in the information about the positive effects of various types of sports on the body and their role in combating the effects of stress.
The third-year student Olha Rozmaita’s presentation, “The Connection Between Acne and Stress: Fact or Myth,” was very informative and enriched with relevant research data from scientists worldwide.
To conclude the meeting, second-year student Andriy Panasovskyi presented “Developing Stress Resilience.” Participants learned about techniques for maintaining calm, practices, and breathing exercises that help combat stress and recover from its effects.
All presentations sparked interest among attendees, leading to numerous questions and active discussions.
We look forward to our future meetings!
