One of the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals is “Good Health and Well-being,” which focuses on ensuring healthy lifestyles and well-being for people of all ages.
The Educational and Research Medical Institute actively works towards achieving this goal.
From January 20 to January 24, Professor Viktoria Harbuzova was a speaker in the professional development program for academic and teaching staff titled “Physical and Mental Health: Principles of Resilience in Crisis Conditions.” The event was attended by 68 staff members of Sumy State University and 22 representatives from other higher education institutions in Ukraine.
As part of the program, Professor Harbuzova conducted five sessions with the participants:
- Structural and Functional Features of the Human Brain.
- Physiological Foundations of Maintaining Brain Health.
- The Impact of Stress on Physical and Mental Health.
- Emotional Health as an Important Component of Resilience.
- Personal Resilience as the Ability to Constructively Overcome Life’s Challenges.
Participants of the program explored the neurophysiological foundations of brain functioning, learned about the effects of stress on the human body and ways to overcome it, acquired emotional management skills, and mastered key principles for developing personal resilience.
