On May 8, 2024, at the initiative of the Trade Union Committee of Sumy State University, a meeting of the staff ‘Face to Face with Rector Vasyl Karpusha’ was held.
The meeting was held in a mixed format.
It was the first time the Rector held such a format of communication with employees.
In his speech, the rector briefly outlined the current situation of the university, expressed his vision and his proposals for the development of the institution, in particular, in terms of the formation of the continent, financial condition, scientific work, international cooperation, etc.
The participants of the meeting asked questions live and online about the energy efficiency of the university buildings, the organisation of the educational process, and the modernisation of the education quality assessment system.
The most controversial issue was the question about the survey ‘Educational process through the eyes of students’.
There was an active and constructive exchange of views, suggestions, and plans aimed at improving the quality of the educational process, working conditions of researchers, academic staff, and all university employees.
Antonina Biesiedina, Associate Professor of our department, joined the conversation. They discussed issues of concern to the staff of the department.
At the end of the meeting, Vasyl Karpusha thanked the initiators of the meeting and all the participants.
