Open Day at the Educational and Scientific Medical Institute: Meeting with Future Applicants

The Department of Physiology and Pathophysiology took part in the Open Day events of the Educational and Scientific Medical Institute of Sumy State University as part of its career guidance activities. On November 15, 2025, an offline meeting was held with high school students from various educational institutions in the city of Sumy and the region. The event helped stimulate students’ interest and motivation to pursue education, as not all future applicants have yet chosen their future field of study or profession.

When high school students find learning engaging, it evokes positive emotions and inspires them to pursue a specific profession. Achievement motivation shapes their interest and enthusiasm for their future career and the learning process itself. Senior students show initiative and create a creative and inquisitive atmosphere around themselves.

Zoia Levchenko, a department assistant, provided future applicants with advice on how to prepare for admission, study medically oriented subjects, discover new opportunities, and achieve success in their future professional lives. Interactive activities were also organized, including a blood type determination experiment and a quiz on human blood. Participants received interesting information about the extensive scientific and educational potential of the Institute and the Department, as well as about the achievements of the teaching staff. The students were also curious to learn about student life at the Medical Institute.

We thank all participants for their engagement and wish them continued success in their studies and the fulfillment of their future goals!
We look forward to welcoming high school students as future students of the Educational and Scientific Medical Institute of Sumy State University.
