“Oncogenetics: from Molecular Markers to Immunotherapy”. Meeting of the Student Scientific Club “Molecular Genetics Laboratory”

On March 2, 2026, a meeting of the student scientific club “Molecular Genetics Laboratory” was held on the topic “Oncogenetics: from Molecular Markers to Immunotherapy”, under the supervision of Associate Professor Olha Obukhova.

During the meeting, students presented reports devoted to modern molecular-genetic aspects of cancer development. The presentations included:

Genetic mutations and molecular markers in oncology (Hannina Viktoriia, MC.m-304),

Molecular classification of tumors as a new standard in modern oncology (Zahliada Alina, MC.m-306),

The role of oncogenes and tumor suppressor genes in the development of malignant neoplasms (Zhurenko Myroslava, MC-301),

Hereditary cancer syndromes in the context of modern oncogenetics (Shyman Anastasiia, MC-405), as well as

Genomic instability and tumor mutational burden (Baklan Olha, MC.m-307).

During the discussion, the participants considered the importance of molecular genetic research for understanding the mechanisms of carcinogenesis, improving modern diagnostics, and developing personalized approaches to cancer treatment. The meeting attracted strong interest among students and contributed to deepening their knowledge in the field of oncogenetics.
