On November 17, 2025, Associate Professor Olha Obukhova of the Department of Physiology and Pathophysiology at the Medical Institute of Sumy State University took part in a meeting of the Working Group on Digital Education: Learning, Teaching and Assessment, operating within the initiatives of the European Commission. The participation became possible thanks to the invitation extended by Yurii Zuban, Director of the E-Learning Technologies Center of Sumy State University.
The aim of this working group is to support Member States in implementing educational reforms in line with the Digital Education Action Plan 2021–2027, with a particular focus on fostering high-quality and inclusive digital education. Participants discussed the challenges of digital transformation and considered the experience and lessons learned during the COVID-19 pandemic.
During the meeting, Assoc. Prof. Olha Obukhova delivered a presentation titled “Experience Using Labster Virtual Simulations”, in which she shared practical insights on implementing the Labster platform in the training of medical students at Sumy State University. The presentation highlighted the advantages of using virtual simulations to master complex biological, physiological, and clinical processes, as well as the potential of Labster to modernize the university learning environment.
