The second Biology School for High School Students kicked off on April 1 this year. On the first day, students, together with Zoia LEVCHENKO, spent their time in the Neurobiology Laboratory. The event brought together high school students from various educational institutions in Sumy who are passionate about biology and envision their future in medicine.
Together, they explored the capacity of different types of memory and other features of higher nervous activity. Memory is a superpower of our brain that allows us to retain important life moments, knowledge, and experiences we acquire. It helps us not only recall what we have learned but also absorb new information by building on previous experiences. Thanks to memory, we remember our friends, interesting stories, and favorite books. Studying memory helps us understand how to better retain information, prevent forgetting, and even protect the brain from aging.
Another engaging session was “Types of Temperament and Their Impact on Life and Career…”. Participants of the Biology School discovered many new and fascinating insights while identifying their own temperament type. The friendly atmosphere encouraged teamwork, new friendships among high school students, and fresh impressions.
It’s truly amazing to understand how your thinking works and how to become more successful in learning and life!
The enthusiasm, scientific curiosity, and smiles on the participants’ faces reflected the success, relevance, and necessity of such events.
