Medical Students Visited the “Famylia Medicus” Medical Center as Part of Problem-Based Learning

As part of the “Problem-Based Learning” course, second-year medical students took part in an educational excursion to the “Famylia Medicus” medical center. The event was organized to reinforce theoretical knowledge through practical experience and to develop clinical thinking skills in a setting close to real medical practice.

During the visit, students became acquainted with the work of a primary care physician, discussed key principles of providing primary healthcare, and participated in a hands-on session—registering electrocardiograms (ECG) and conducting basic interpretations.

Special attention was given to the interdisciplinary approach to learning, which supports the development of students’ clinical reasoning and interprofessional collaboration skills. The excursion also aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)—specifically, ensuring quality education and promoting health and well-being.

We express our sincere gratitude to Yelizaveta Stroy, family doctor at “Famylia Medicus”, for her openness to collaboration and for creating a supportive learning environment for future physicians!
