On 14 May 2024, a regular meeting of the scientific club was held on the topic ‘Molecular genetic mechanisms of multifactorial diseases’. The meeting was moderated by the Head of the Department, Professor V. Harbuzova, who noted that student science is important in the process of training applicants at all levels of higher education.
The work of the student scientific club helps not only to express themselves and update their thinking, but also to discuss topical issues of the day. The students express creative ideas about the prospects for the development of the scientific club and the desire to acquire research skills.
The meeting was attended by 1st and 3rd year students:
- Iryna Dyadyura (MC.m-104) ‘Vitamin D receptor gene VDR’
- Anastasia Malyuk (MC.m-104) ‘Long non-coding RNA CDKN2B-AS1(ANRIL) as a regulator of pathological processes’
- Dyadchenko Olga (MC.m-101) ‘HOTAIR: oncogenic long non-coding RNA in various types of cancer’
- Zhurenko Myroslava (MC.m-301) ‘Ethnic weapons’
The participants prepared presentations on the topics of their reports. The presentations led to a lively discussion and questions.
