On March 20, the final event of Brain Awareness Week 2026 took place, organized by student Olha Chernysh (MC.m-215 group) within the premises of Municipal Institution Lyceum No. 33 of the Sumy City Council. It was an engaging and educational discussion titled “How Does Music Affect Brain Function?”, held for students of classes 7-A and 7-B and aimed at supporting one of the Sustainable Development Goals proclaimed by the United Nations — “Good Health and Well-being.”
During the discussion, students learned how music influences brain activity, emotional state, memory, and concentration. The participants активно engaged in the conversation, sharing their own impressions and examples of how music affects their mood and learning.
This interactive format sparked considerable interest among the students and helped them better understand the connection between music, emotions, and brain function. The meeting was lively and informative, encouraging curiosity and promoting awareness of the capabilities and functioning of the human brain. It also helped students learn more about educational opportunities in the fields of medicine and science.
