On May 29, 2025, the Department held the final meeting of the Student Scientific Club of the Department of Physiology and Pathophysiology with the course of Medical Biology. Traditionally, the meeting took place under the guidance of the Head of the Department, Professor Viktoriia HARBUZOVA, and was dedicated to discussing the achievements of the academic year.
The students shared their experiences gained while working with the department’s scientific supervisors: Associate Professor O.A. Obukhova, Associate Professor A.A. Besiedin, Assistants Z.M. Levchenko, T.B. Oleshko, and T.M. Oleshko. The students enthusiastically explained their interest in and the importance of the topics they had chosen. They also proposed some suggestions for improving the club meetings.
Professor Viktoriia Yuriyivna introduced the planned changes in the club’s activities for the upcoming year and encouraged all members to be actively involved in scientific research. The following new areas are planned to be established:
- Physiological Scientific Club– supervised by Zoya LEVCHENKO;
- Molecular Genetics Laboratory– supervised by Olga OBUKHOVA;
- Mental Health Club– supervised by Viktoriia HARBUZOVA.
Assistant Zoya LEVCHENKO also addressed the audience, thanking all club members for their activity, creativity, and initiative. Third-year student Ihor STAROSTENKO offered advice to fellow club members on how to approach their work in the upcoming academic year and shared his own successful experience with the club. This year, he delivered six engaging presentations. For his scientific contribution, Ihor was awarded the title of “Club Member of the Year.”
Fourth-year students who have been active participants in the club for all four years received the honorary title of “Legendary Club Members”: Inna Hrytsenko, Svitlana Lysiuk, Vitalii Khomyak, Yana Bondar, Liubov Lebed, and Anhelina Robotko.
First-year student Andrii DIADIURA also shared his first experience as a club member.
The meeting was held in a warm and friendly atmosphere. We sincerely thank all student researchers for their active participation in the department’s work. We wish you all inspiration, success, and joy in learning and research! We look forward to our future meetings with great anticipation!
