With the aim of increasing awareness about studying at the Medical Institute, on April 10, students from the Sumy Professional Medical College visited the Department of Physiology and Pathophysiology, which also includes the course in Medical Biology.
Associate Professor Antonina Biesiedina and Assistant Zoya Levchenko introduced the guests to the educational aspects of the department. The students visited the Medical Biology museum-classroom, where they had the opportunity to learn about the most dangerous and widespread parasites in our region.
With great interest, the students examined macro- and micro-preparations and discovered many fascinating facts about these dangerous yet sometimes beneficial organisms. They also took part in a master class on blood group testing, conducted by Zoya Levchenko, where they were able to determine their own blood types.
At the end of the visit, the students expressed their gratitude for the new, engaging knowledge and the vivid emotions they experienced.
This event helped spark the students’ interest and motivation to study medical-related subjects and inspired many of them to consider continuing their education at the Educational and Scientific Medical Institute.
