Brain Awareness Week – 2026

Promoting knowledge about health, the functioning of the human body, disease prevention, and the preservation of mental well-being is one of the Sustainable Development Goals proclaimed by the United Nations – “Good Health and Well-Being.”

This is precisely the focus of the scientific and educational events of Brain Awareness Week, organized by the Department of Physiology and Pathophysiology under the guidance of the Head of the Department, Viktoriia Harbuzova.

The aim of the event is to promote knowledge about how the brain works, highlight modern research in neuroscience, and foster a conscious attitude toward maintaining cognitive and mental health. Lectures, interactive meetings, and educational initiatives are designed to inform school pupils, students, university staff, and the Sumy community about ways to achieve this goal.
