Associate Professor Antonina Biesedina Took Part in The Event “SSU: Using Opportunities”

On September 5, Sumy State University hosted the event “SSU: Using Opportunities” for students, parents, and homeroom teachers of the 11th grade of Sumy Lyceum No. 33 of the Sumy City Council.

The main purpose of the event was to familiarize future applicants, their parents, educators, and all interested parties with the university’s rankings and the advantages of studying at SSU. This will help prospective students navigate the admission opportunities, assess their own chances, and make an informed decision when choosing an institution for higher education.

The complete “Applicant’s Guide 2026” was presented by Yurii Merzliakov, Head of the Center for Pre-University Education and Career Guidance, Associate Professor of the Department of Technical Thermophysics at the Faculty of TeSET.

The advantages of studying biology and its crucial role in professional choice and building a successful career were highlighted by Associate Professor of the Department of Physiology and Pathophysiology with a course in Medical Biology, Antonina Biesedina, in her presentation “Biology – The Path to Career and Success.”

Students were also impressed by the experiments of Associate Professor of the Department of Cybersecurity, Vitalii Koval, and Associate Professor of the Department of Electronics, General and Applied Physics, Vasyl Nefedchenko, in their talk “Science Day: Find Yourself Before ChatGPT Takes Your Niche.”

Senior Lecturer of the Department of Germanic Philology, Anna Zinchenko, introduced students to the opportunities provided by English in her presentation “English Without Borders: Learning Opportunities and Preparation for the NMT.”

The event sparked great interest among both students and parents and proved useful in career choice.
We look forward to new meetings!
