On June 9, Associate Professor Antonina <\/b><\/strong>Biesiedina<\/b><\/strong>\u00a0of the Department of Physiology and Pathophysiology participated in the International Conference \u201cService-Learning for the Recovery of Ukraine: Education, Citizenship, and Community Resilience,\u201d\u00a0held at the Ukrainian Catholic University\u00a0in Lviv.<\/p>

The conference brought together more than 200 participants, both in person and online, including academics, students, researchers, community representatives, and delegates from international organizations across Ukraine and Europe. The event focused on the role of education in Ukraine’s recovery, presented the outcomes of the ServU\u00a0project, and facilitated discussions on cooperation between universities and local communities.<\/p>

The conference marked the culmination of the three-year Erasmus+ Capacity Building in Higher Education (CBHE) ServU\u00a0project, which united three Ukrainian and three European universities to promote service-learning\u00a0as an effective approach to supporting local communities and contributing to the recovery of Ukraine. It served as a platform for presenting the project’s key achievements, exchanging best practices, and exploring future opportunities for collaboration among universities, local communities, and international partners.<\/p>

Participants gained valuable insights into service-learning methodology, which enables students to better appreciate the value of their knowledge and understand its positive impact on community development. The conference also highlighted the important role of the international Uniservitate\u00a0and CLAYSS\u00a0networks in advancing service-learning initiatives in higher education institutions.<\/p>

The knowledge, practical recommendations, and international experience gained during the conference will support participants in enhancing both their professional activities and everyday practice, fostering stronger community engagement and educational innovation.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
