As part of the cooperation between Sumy State University and Municipal Secondary School No. 24, a meeting of 9th-grade students and their parents with the coordinators of specialized classes was held on May 25. The school principal, Anna Ryshkova, emphasized the importance of productive communication between higher education institutions and secondary schools, highlighting the effectiveness of the partnership between Municipal Secondary School No. 24 and Sumy State University aimed at improving the quality of students\u2019 education.<\/p>

The biological profile was presented by Associate Professor Antonina Biesiedina\u00a0from the Department of Physiology and Pathophysiology with a course in Medical Biology of the Educational and Scientific Medical Institute of SumDU. She introduced participants to the modernization of the content and implementation technologies of biology-focused educational programs aimed at developing students\u2019 competencies, values, and attitudes toward sustainable and environmentally responsible development.<\/p>

The main goal of the meeting was to stimulate students\u2019 interest in biological sciences and help them realize the importance of the medical profession while preparing for further education and professional activities. During the meeting, Antonina Biesiedina\u00a0spoke about the broad opportunities for students to participate in the scientific activities of Sumy State University, including participation in international conferences, scientific clubs, olympiads, research competitions, biological quizzes, and other academic initiatives. She also emphasized the \u043f\u0435\u0440\u0441\u043f\u0435\u043a\u0442\u0438\u0432\u0438 of obtaining a medical education.<\/p>

Students and their parents learned about the university\u2019s modern material and technical facilities, student participation in scientific research, international programs, and practical training for future healthcare professionals. Special attention was devoted to the development of students\u2019 practical skills, fostering a responsible attitude toward personal health, and promoting medical professions among young people. Participants also had the opportunity to ask questions about the specifics of studying within the biological profile, admission requirements, and future professional development opportunities.<\/p>

The event was held in a friendly and constructive atmosphere and became an important stage in the professional self-determination of 9th-grade students.
