On May 14, the Department of Physiology and Pathophysiology with a course in Medical Biology, with the support of the Adaptation and Career Guidance Sector of the student self-government headed by Bohdan Okhrimenko<\/b><\/strong>\u00a0(student of group MC.m-301), organized the intellectual game \u201cBRAIN RING\u20132026.\u201d\u00a0The event brought together 44 students of the Educational and Scientific Medical Institute majoring in Medicine\u00a0and 18 students of the Sumy Professional Medical College. The event corresponded to one of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals \u2014 \u201cGood Health and Well-Being,\u201d\u00a0promoting knowledge about human health, the functioning of the human body, disease prevention, and mental well-being.<\/p>

Five teams participated in the competition: two teams of second-year students \u2014 \u201cExcitation Threshold: 0\u201d\u00a0and \u201cVincere\u201d; two teams of first-year students \u2014 \u201cThe Sucklings\u201d\u00a0and \u201cGoogle Doctors\u201d; and one team representing the Sumy Professional Medical College \u2014 \u201cAstra Mentis.\u201d<\/p>

The game was supervised by a distinguished jury chaired by Professor Viktoriia Harbuzova<\/b><\/strong>, Head of the Department of Physiology and Pathophysiology with a course in Medical Biology of the Educational and Scientific Medical Institute of SumDU. The jury members included Iryna Biloko<\/b><\/strong>n, a senior lecturer of the Sumy Professional Medical College, Associate Professor Antonina <\/b><\/strong>Biesiedina<\/b><\/strong>, and Assistant Zoya Levchenko<\/b><\/strong>. The scoring committee consisted of Associate Professor Tetiana Oleshko<\/b><\/strong>, senior staff member Tetiana Kryvonos<\/b><\/strong>, and second-year student Daria Neicheva<\/b><\/strong>.<\/p>

During the qualifying stage, each team competed against every other team in rounds consisting of five questions. Based on the results, the two teams with the highest scores \u2014 \u201cVincere\u201d\u00a0and \u201cThe Sucklings\u201d\u00a0\u2014 advanced to the final round.<\/p>

After an intense competition, the \u043f\u043e\u0431\u0435\u0434\u0443 won the team \u201cVincere.\u201d

The team \u201cAstra Mentis\u201d\u00a0from the Sumy Professional Medical College received awards in the nominations \u201cWill to Win\u201d\u00a0and \u201cReliable Partnership.\u201d
