On May 8, the Department of Physiology and Pathophysiology with a course in Medical Biology hosted a meeting of the student-school association \u201cWorkshop of Young Biologists,\u201d\u00a0organized by Associate Professor Antonina <\/b><\/strong>Biesiedina<\/b><\/strong>. The event corresponded to one of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals \u2014 \u201cGood Health and Well-Being,\u201d\u00a0promoting knowledge about human health, the functioning of the body, disease prevention, and the maintenance of mental well-being.<\/p>

The meeting was attended by 12 students of Grade 10-A from Municipal Secondary School No. 24, as well as medical students of the Educational and Scientific Medical Institute. The following presentations were delivered during the event:<\/p>

  1. \u201cCell Engineering in Medicine and Biology\u201d\u2014 Polina Horlach<\/b><\/strong>, Grade 10-A student of Municipal Secondary School No. 24<\/li>
  2. \u201cRegenerative Medicine and Therapy\u201d\u2014 Anastasiia Kydymenko<\/b><\/strong>, Grade 10-A student of Municipal Secondary School No. 24<\/li>
  3. \u201cMetabolic Imprinting of Glycemic Homeostasis Disorders in Children with Postnatal Macrosomia\u201d\u2014 first-year student Yelyzaveta Snizhko<\/b><\/strong>, group MC-505<\/li>
  4. \u201cAnalysis of the Association Between the rs7975232 Polymorphism of the VDR Gene and the Development of Physical Qualities in Ukrainian Athletes\u201d\u2014 second-year student Daria Neicheva<\/b><\/strong>, group MC.m-406<\/li><\/ol>

    Through collaborative scientific activities, school students gain the opportunity to learn about the specifics of medical education, modern trends in medicine, and the fundamentals of scientific research. At the same time, medical students improve their professional communication skills, public speaking abilities, scientific analysis, and mentoring competencies.<\/p>

    Such scientific events contribute to the development of critical thinking, research skills, and motivation for professional self-determination. The effectiveness of this interaction is reflected in the increased interest of young people in medical science, the development of teamwork, and the creation of conditions for the professional and personal growth of all participants in the educational process.<\/p>
