Educational outreach activities at Municipal Institution \u201cLyceum No. 33\u201d are ongoing as part of Brain Awareness Week 2026<\/i><\/em>. Within this initiative, on March 19, first-year student Yelyzaveta Snizhko and third-year student Iryna Kusovnyk delivered engaging lectures for students of Class 10-A. The lectures aimed to raise awareness about brain function, mental health, and the impact of emotional states on the human body, supporting one of the Sustainable Development Goals\u2014\u201cGood Health and Well-Being.\u201d<\/p>

During the sessions, students had the opportunity to attend two informative lectures. Yelyzaveta Snizhko presented a lecture titled \u201cStress and Distress,\u201d<\/i><\/em>\u00a0in which she explained the difference between beneficial and harmful stress, their effects on the human body, and ways to maintain emotional balance in everyday life. Iryna Kusovnyk delivered a lecture titled \u201cThe Nature of Stress,\u201d<\/i><\/em>\u00a0during which students learned about the causes of stress, the body\u2019s responses to stressful situations, and the importance of developing self-regulation skills.<\/p>

The lectures generated lively interest among the students: they actively asked questions, shared their thoughts, and discussed practical ways to cope with stress. The school students were also introduced to the scientific achievements of the department\u2019s faculty, including the work of the molecular genetics laboratory, where research is conducted on the role of genetic predictors in the development of neurological diseases\u2014an area that sparked considerable interest.<\/p>

We would like to thank Yelyzaveta and Iryna for organizing such an engaging event, which helped participants better understand the functioning of the brain. Holding educational activities like these contributes to developing students\u2019 awareness of the importance of mental health, fostering emotional resilience, and encouraging a responsible attitude toward their well-being.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
