On November 27, 2025, the Department hosted a mini-conference entitled \u201cMolecular and Genetic Mechanisms of Multifactorial Disease Development.\u201d\u00a0The event was organized within the framework of the course Clinical Physiology\u00a0and brought together students of the Dentistry (I1)\u00a0and Medicine (I2)\u00a0programs.<\/p>

The main purpose of the conference was to deepen students\u2019 understanding of the impact of genetic predisposition and gene polymorphisms on the development of the most common pathological conditions. The participants presented seven informative reports covering the most relevant issues in clinical genetics and personalized medicine.<\/p>

Daryna Olehiivna Zavor\u0430\u00a0opened the conference with a presentation on \u201cGenetic Mechanisms of Arterial Hypertension Development,\u201d\u00a0emphasizing the multifactorial nature of this cardiovascular disease.<\/p>

Sofiya Vitaliivna Karpenok\u00a0highlighted a critically important topic: \u201cCytochrome P450 Gene Polymorphisms and Their Influence on Drug Metabolism,\u201d\u00a0a foundation of pharmacogenetics.<\/p>

The topic of genetic predisposition to metabolic disorders was continued by Yelyzaveta Vyacheslavivna Tsiukh, who presented \u201cGenetic Determinants of Susceptibility to Obesity.\u201d<\/p>

The importance of programmed cell death in the pathogenesis of various diseases was revealed by Vadym Viktorovych Kapustin\u00a0in his report \u201cMolecular Mechanisms of Apoptosis and Their Clinical Significance.\u201d<\/p>

Challenges in neurology were presented by Olha Oleksandrivna Chernysh\u00a0in the report \u201cGenetic Markers of Risk for Neurodegenerative Diseases.\u201d<\/p>

Sofiya Anatoliivna Ponomarenko\u00a0focused on chronobiology, presenting \u201cThe Role of Circadian Rhythm Regulatory Genes in the Development of Sleep Disorders.\u201d<\/p>

The conference concluded with Maryna Romanivna Masha, who delivered a timely presentation on \u201cMolecular and Genetic Mechanisms of Carcinogenesis.\u201d<\/p>

The conference was conducted at a high scientific and organizational level, demonstrating the strong interest of future professionals in interdisciplinary knowledge necessary for modern clinical practice and the development of personalized medicine.<\/p>
