During the excursion, the students learned about academic disciplines, and scientific research, and visited the <strong><b>Parasitology Museum<\/b><\/strong>, where <strong><b>Assistant Lecturer Levchenko Z.M. <\/b><\/strong>introduced them to the main types of parasites that can affect humans, their life cycles, and methods of prevention.<\/p><p>A highlight of the visit was the Molecular Genetic Research Laboratory, where students gained insight into <strong><b>DNA and RNA extraction <\/b><\/strong>and the <strong><b>principles of polymerase chain reaction (PCR)<\/b><\/strong>. <strong><b>Associate Professor Obukhova O.A.<\/b><\/strong>\u00a0demonstrated <strong><b>PCR methodologies<\/b><\/strong>, including <strong><b>DNA fragment restriction and electrophoresis<\/b><\/strong>, as well as <strong><b>real-time PCR<\/b><\/strong>, which are widely used in modern genetics and medicine.<\/p><p>Such events allow students to get acquainted with scientific research methods, expand their knowledge of <strong><b>biology and medicine<\/b><\/strong>, and help them make informed career choices.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section
