Yulia Skibchyk, 3rd year student of the group MC.m-104, is studying under the international academic mobility programme in Italy (Foggia). Yulia is a student who is actively engaged in scientific work at the Department of Physiology and Pathophysiology with a course in medical biology under the guidance of Professor Viktoriia\u00a0Harbuzova, and is now deepening her knowledge at a foreign university.<\/p>

The academic mobility process is conducted in Italian, and participants spend a lot of time in the city hospital. During the lectures, students have the opportunity to see clinical cases and professional manipulations demonstrated in the lecturer’s video and live. Students of this university can also attend general surgery operations outside of class time. Doctors are happy to explain step by step the pathological process that caused the disease and how to treat it.<\/p>

In addition, as part of the academic mobility programme, Yulia had the opportunity to attend classes in the laboratory of the Department of Pathological Anatomy and take part in learning how to stain smears and sections. She also received a large amount of useful materials on various platforms to study the subjects she had chosen.<\/p>

In the city of Foggio, a very small percentage of local residents speak English, so Yulia Skibchyk and other Erasmus students attend Italian language courses at the Foggio Adult School.<\/p>

Outside of school hours, the ESN (Erasmus Student Network) office helps students adapt to the conditions of their stay in Italy by offering trips to historical sites; celebrating the birthdays of internship participants; and attending various social events.<\/p>

Therefore, Yulia notes that Erasmus gives her unforgettable impressions and life knowledge that will definitely be useful for her future professional activities, improve her English, expand her travel map, and provide an opportunity to expand communication with foreign students.<\/p>
